Shri Chandalingeswara Graminabhivraddhi Sangha

We address key issues like education, health, & empowerment, creating opportunities for marginalized communities. We also help reduce inequalities, fosters self-development & builds stronger society.

Shri Chandalingeswara Graminabhivraddhi Sangha is a non-government organization working for education, health child and women empowerment in underprivileged.We believe that knowledge would lead to awareness, which would further lead to self-development, empowerment, and action. Currently, we are working in all villages of Karnataka and especially in Bagalkot District. We are committed to create a strong and independent society without inequalities and discrimination, where everybody enjoys equal opportunities.

Programs

SHG Initiative

Bringing financial self-reliance and respect through self-help groups in rural areas, where women are becoming financially self-reliant through their savings groups. Self-help groups of rural women support easy access to credit to overcome the debt trap to reduce poverty. We have 125 SHGs in Koppal and Bagalkot district.

Books Distribution Program

The Books Distribution Program is an initiative aimed at providing free educational materials to underprivileged students, ensuring they have the resources needed for their studies. This program helps reduce barriers to education by offering textbooks, notebooks, and other learning materials, supporting students in their academic journey. By distributing books, the program empowers children, promotes literacy, and encourages a culture of learning in marginalized communities. It plays a crucial role in bridging educational gaps and fostering opportunities for a better future.

Free Eye Check Up Camp

We conducted eye checkup camps in Doddihala grama panchayath of Kushtagi taluk, more than 250 people underwent checkups and 50 were undergone cataract surgery. The project is to reduce the burden of avoidable blindness among local villagers.

Training Classes

We organized free tailoring, computer, and weaving training classes for rural women and reached 80 beneficiaries with the support of the Karnataka skill development corporation.

Street play

Organized street plays on financial literacy in 70 grampanchayats of Bagalkot district and covered around 11000 people.

Support to flood victims -2009

We raised funds from the public to support flood victims of Hunagunda Taluk affected in 2009 floods and raised the sum of Rupees 1,75,000 and supported the victims through Ilakal Shree Vijayanthesha swamiji.

Support to Micro Enterprises

We assisted 40 Joint liability groups to get loans from the banks to start micro enterprises like petty shops, Solid brick making, bakery, Auto generator works, auto rickshaw, Petty business etc.

Handicraft free wheelchair program survey

We conducted a Free Wheelchair Survey in several villages of Badami Taluk as part of our Handicraft Free Wheelchair Program. While the work may seem simple, it is essential for those in need. The survey aimed to identify individuals with mobility challenges and provide them with free wheelchairs to enhance their independence and quality of life. This initiative helps improve accessibility and supports those facing physical disabilities, ensuring they can move more freely within their communities.
